Leigh Taylor Weissman, founder of Leigh Taylor Method, is a Certified Personal Trainer, Glute Specialist and Nutrition Coach.

She runs her in-person business out of Complete Body Gyms in NYC and works virtually with women and men across the country to help them achieve their fitness goals.

My Story

Ms. Weissman specializes in weight loss and weight management, hypertrophy training, glute development and body recomposition.

It is not a stretch to say that Leigh’s love of fitness is in her DNA. Both her parents are black belts and her mother taught aerobics in the basement of her childhood home. Her father, a former dancer and gymnast is also a competitive cyclist who customized a tandem bike so Leigh and her siblings could accompany him on long rides and when Leigh wasn’t on a bike or dancing around her mother’s studio, Leigh spent the better part of her youth playing sports – when she wasn’t composing songs.

Having graduated from college with a degree in fine arts, Leigh became acquainted with the fitness scene first as a client and later as an instructor, and in 2017 she competed in her first, and only, body building competition where her love for the sport blossomed.

Her passion for health and wellness landed her a position with Equinox Fitness working in their food and beverage department, a job that propelled Leigh to get her nutrition coach certification. Blending a steadfast belief in healthy and appropriate diet with her knowledge of body building and sculpting, Leigh developed a holistic training program designed to create healthier behaviors around food, sleep and stress management. And it is this approach, this method, that Leigh puts into practice with each of her clients with the goal of assisting each and all in creating a strong, healthy and mobile body, as well as an “aesthetic” one.

As to her specialization in gluteal development, Leigh’s had to look no further than her father’s rehabilitation of degenerative spine disease to understand the vital role gluteal muscles play in spine stability and how the glutes, in conjunction with a strong core, enhance athleticism while staving off injury of the spine, hips and knees. Combining her knowledge of hypertrophy training with her studies on the bio-mechanics of the gluteus muscles birthed a passion to give men and women the best glutes of their lives. It was then that the Leigh Taylor Method was born.
